FAQ: Which parameters are supported by the Synchronizer and the SynchronizerAdmin?

    • SUMMARY
      The Synchronizer and the SynchronizerAdmin can be started with the following parameters.
      Parameter for Synchronizer and SynchronizerAdmin: /P
      Start the Synchronizer in Personal Mode (Outlook Mode).
      When starting the Synchronizer or SynchronizerAdmin in personal mode you do not need to specify a userid and password. Login information is automatically retrieved from the running SuperOffice instance.

      Parameter for Synchronizer and SynchronizerAdmin: /E
      Start the Synchronizer in Exchange Server mode.

      Optional Parameter for Synchronizer: /S  (This parameter can not be used as a standalone parameter)
      Specify the server number. This parameter is only used when the Synchronizer has been divided over multiple machines.

      Optional Parameter for Synchronizer and SynchronizerAdmin: UserId Password
      It is possible to specify the userid and password as an parameter, if specified, this will skip the login screen.

      Optional Parameter for Synchronizer: STOP
      Demands to stop the Synchronizer, the Synchronizer will finish the last task, and will shutdown. Do not specify any other parameters
      Note: Please note that the / is not used with the STOP parameter

      Please use the following order to specify parameters
      /[Start up type] [userid] [password] [/S#]

      EXAMPLE
      Synchronizer.exe /E Pierre Password /S1
      SOSynchronizerAdmin.exe /E
