How to test the Incoming Mail in the UMA Configurator

Overview:

Even though IMAP is activated, the test in the UMA Configurator fails with an error message.

How to:


When you receive this error, please check the following common causes:

  • SSL is chosen, but not made available
  • The chosen Port is wrong
  • SSL is disabled, while it should be enabled
  • Default Port is not correct
    • IMAP without SSL: Port 143
    • IMAP with SSL: Port 585 or 99
