Overview:
It is possible to automatically Start and Stop the Outlook Synchronizer when SuperOffice starts and SuperOffice is closed. This is very convenient for users because they don’t have to manually start or stop the Outlook Synchronizer.
How to:
These steps are not required and may be skipped, however they are recommended. You will have to create the settings in the SuperOffice Admin to add the automatic Start and Stop function.
- Open the SuperOffice Admin
- Click Lists
- Click Application / GUI - Application
- Click the +Add button
- Type the name, like: Start Synchronizer
- Choose: Event
- Check all items under: Available On
- Specify the filename including the full path, and the program name: InfoBridge Synchronizer.exe
- Specify the parameter: /P
- Choose Run when: SuperOffice Starts
- Choose Start-up mode: Minimized
- Click on the OK button to save the item
Automatically Stop:
Add the new item to automatically stop the Outlook (Online) Synchronizer:
- Type the name, like: Stop Synchronizer
- Choose: Event
- Check all items under: Available On
- Specify the filename including the full path, and the program name: InfoBridge Synchronizer.exe
- Specify the parameter: /STOP
- Choose Run when SuperOffice Exits
- Click on the OK button to save the item
Within the Synchronizer admin module there is one last setting which needs to be configured:
- Open the Synchronizer Admin
- Go to the Options panel
- Turn on the option "Show Synchronizer in system tray and start synchronizing automatically"
- Save by clicking on "Apply the setting..."
When SuperOffice is now started the synchronizer will automatically start minimized and the synchronization process will start automatically. An icon of the Synchronizer will be added to the system tray.
Note:
Perform these additional steps after you have set up all the local Outlook Synchronizer users. Otherwise the Outlook Synchronizer will start already when you start SuperOffice prior to the configuration settings which still need to be made.
