Unable to browse your domain during the installation of a Synchronizer

Overview:

During the installation of a Synchronizer, you will be asked to enter your domain user & password for the user who will be running the service. When you browse for this user you will only see the local machine.

How to:

This will happen when the Computer Browser service (in services.msc) is not running. Start the service and try again, as your domain will be searchable then.
