UMA is a great tool for automatically archiving sent emails without user intervention. You might imagine that when an external contact sends an email to the UMA email address, that it might archive this on the corresponding contact.
Why does the external contact receive and error message?
UMA is designed to only work for associates. If we would not have this restriction, then you might imagine that everyone would be able to archive any type of email in the customers' database. The CRM database could the be filled with irrelevant emails, or even spam.
